Toronto September 15, 2021 – BASKITS Inc. is proud to announce that Robin Kovitz, President and CEO has been named a Finalist for the 2021 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for the RBC Momentum Award. The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards are the pre-eminent national business awards recognizing the country’s leading female entrepreneurs. Now in its 29th year, the program is an initiative of Women of Influence, an award-winning organization dedicated to advancing Canadian women.
From a pool of thousands of nominees, 23 Finalists from coast to coast have been selected to represent Seven Award Categories. The Momentum Award is dedicated to a female entrepreneur that has successfully grown her company each year by 10%, thus creating opportunities for future growth and expansion. Kovitz is one of three Regional Finalists being recognized in this category, representing the best of the Central region.
Baskits designs, manufactures and delivers baskets across Canada, delivering specially curated and thoughtful gifts that surprise and delight customers. Acquired in 2014 by Robin Kovitz, the company has seen significant growth and sources local and national products in all categories to be curated into gift collections. In 2020, Baskits shipped hundreds of thousands of parcels and most recently acquired a 50,000-square-foot facility which will be the new location for its head office.

The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 29th Annual Awards Gala on Wednesday, November 17th, where all attendees will be once again digitally transported into a Virtual Awards Gala. The evening’s festivities and award ceremony will be live streamed around the world, shining a spotlight on all these amazing Canadian women entrepreneurs.
The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards recognizes female business owners from across Canada who make impressive and substantial contributions to the local, Canadian or global economy. With strong entrepreneurial visions and a relentless passion in pursuing their dreams, these inspirational candidates pave the way for the next generation of women to come. All nominees have been extensively reviewed and judged by a panel of prominent business leaders and subjected to a due diligence performed by KPMG.
